Free Kibble

July 16th, 2008 · 5 Comments

A friend of mine passed along to me a link to Free Kibble. An 11 year old girl is trying to feed animals in shelters. You answer trivia questions each day and they will donate free kibble. I am not sure why you have to answer trivia questions to actually donate, but I guess it’s kinda like that rice thing that Turnbaby is always talking about.

You can get to Free Kibble here.

If you are a cat person, you can go to the cat site.

There is also a petition to encourage Obama to adopt his family’s promised dog from a shelter rather than buy a new puppy. A friend of mine sent this link as well. Apparently, he promised his daughter that if they make it to the White House, he will get them a dog. You can sign the petition from the below link.

Take it or leave it. Just wanted to pass it on.

Cool about the Obama thing. Those who know me know I’m a fan of adopted dogs as well. Petfinder.net is a great place to go to find a homeless pet in your area and you can find exactly what you want.

All 3 of our dogs are adopted.

I also am at a loss for trivia requirements of free food, unless they want to 99.99% verify that it’s a human, and that some effort is put into the task.

That, and if you’re thinking (answering trivia questions), it might take you a while, and perhaps the marketing has it’s chance to sink in. I figure the people who fill out the site are likely dog owners, and therefore likely purchasers of dog food, and if you stay at the site long enough to answer the questions, you’ll have to spend more time with the advertisements in the periphery.

I’m smart today. Someone want to adopt me?

I’m all about rescue dogs and cats - and I have the grey hairs to prove it!
I’ve donated my kibble and kibblicats (?) for today ;o)
    Great sites - thanks :)

Update: it’s only one question. And it’s relatively easy. I guess they do that to make sure that you are human, as Wayne put it. :-)

Robin: Yeah, my ex boyfriend sent that to me. I thought it was really cute and very well put together.

Wayne: you are right. petfinders is indeed a great place to find animals in need of homes.

Penelope: Yea! Did you get the answers right?

Freecycle can work too, if you want dogs or Indian Runner ducks. I’ve seen several dogs on there (including the one I have now). I’ve seen scads of ducks on Freecycle too, but I’ve not gotten those.
