Today is Video Submission Day!

On another note, I am behind in reading and writing blogs. It’s this Africa thing. Today is going to be no exception, because of a precarious surgery involved, and I am a bit freaked out and worried. So if I am not getting to your blogs, that’s why. I am indeed saddened, because I enjoy reading your blogs so much. I get the snorts just thinking about them!
But if tomorrow goes well, then things go back to normal, as best as they can, for me.
I look forward to all of the video submissions!

Are you worried about medical stuff being done in another country?
When my brother broke his leg, my dad worried about him getting proper medical treatment in Oklahoma.

Slut: God yes. We had to have two surgeons flown in; one from Nigeria and the other from India. They think that the hole has been there too long for the balloon to work long term, but we are hoping that it will be sufficient for her to travel. Goal is to get her immediately to the states to my family cardiac surgeon. He operates on children (heart surgery), did my stepdad’s triple bypass, my dad’s two quad bypasses, and my step-nephew’s heart surgery when he was about a year old.
Problem is citizenship and getting healthcare. Mr. X knows he is going to have to pay for the surgery out of pocket. Thank god he is able to do that. He is making a killing off of this project that he is completing now. It’s future healthcare that worries me because of citizenship and being in the states.
I’ll let you guys know how it goes. Thanks for being so supportive! This has been a damned nightmare!

At the bottom of that post is a pic of giraffes doing it. My friends Shiny and Mary laugh and laugh when they see that pic. It’s a long story why, but we get significant amusement from that picture.
