Quick side note: Today I am going to the Renaissance Festival. Worry not; I am not dressing up. But, since I am a total sci-fi nerd, this always includes Ren Fair.
This morning, driving home from Starbucks, I saw something that we NEVER see in Dallas; a pretty sunrise. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a clear view of it, since our town is so goddamned flat.
Oh, this is nice; I just saw on the news that the prom queen in Southlake is going to get a crown with pearls and made of some kind of precious metal worth $695.00. God forbid we should give that out as bonuses to teachers or anything.
So, here are some pictures of the only sunrise I have seen in ages that actually is pretty.

Not dressing up? Are you a f***ing mundane or something???
Well, I shouldn’t say that, seeing as I haven’t dressed up in years. For one thing, a lot of the faires I went to when I was on the road and I didn’t know to bring anything with me. And now, I don’t have anything that fits.
I know a lot of people who have multiple ren costumes and get season passes to Scaborough and go nearly everyday. And a couple of them were having stuff cleaned and were tired and said the hell with it and went one day in just regular clothes. So they’re watching Don Juan and Miguel, and they went up to my friends and said “We didn’t recognize you without your clothes.”
Found out that I have an oppurtunity to go to Muskogee on Memorial Day, except that I shouldn’t go because then I’d have to cancel a mammogram scheduled that week. I’ve never been to the Muskogee ren faire, have you? I’m wondering if it is worth the effort of trying to reschedule or if I should just skip it.

I have absolutely no idea what a ren fair is or why you would want to dress up for one. I’m sorry! Please explain, with pictures and pointy arrows so that this uneducated Brit can learn something ;o)

Somewhere in my blog I have a picture I took of the Dallas skyline. Since the sky was gunmetal gray, I substituted my own blue sky into it. Worked out pretty well. But I can’t find the post now.
