Hi all.
I want to do a new contest. This one isn’t for prizes. I want it to be a recurring contest. I like the writing contests over at MTC, but I don’t want to do a writing contest. I just like the idea.
We already have Fab’s boob contest, pay it forward, etc. These contests do involve gifts, but I want more of a recurring thing where you get a really cool badge to display on your site. I want it to be something that people have to work at, but nothing too difficult. Lots of people do the MTC, but I don’t want to do what they do. I don’t even want it to be in the same area.
So here is where you come in. What ideas do you have for a recurring contest?

Sorry. You can tell from my blog that I’d come up with stuff like the who has had the worst Monday contest, or who has met the biggest moron this week contest, or who has had the strangest Google search to their blog this week. You could also just pick some random questions, like who has played in the mud the most this week, which I would probably win, maybe followed the next week by who has had the most sex this week, which I would not win.

Oh, god… I’m the queen of contests for brag badges. Let’s see… currently I have the LOLBatman running at my place. In the past I have had Friday Rounds where I would list 15 or so symptoms and then everyone would leave a diagnosis in the comments. That one was very popular and people always showed up for that…lol. I used to do Saturday games, Pictionary to be specific. I would doodle a picture and then everyone would have to guess what it was. I used to run riddles in my comments section until I switched to wordpress and that was fun. I need to start Friday Rounds back up.
You could do a photo scavenger hunt where you show a picture and then peope have to locate certain things in them.
You could do anything and I’ll play faithfully! I love that shit!

Song parodies, but only using one verse so they’re not so long? And you type out the verse so everyone’s starting on the same ‘page’ so to speak…

How about a video contest. You create a topic in which people post a video post too. Then we all vote on the best video. The winner gets to pick the topic for the next video.

Top: I like yours. It’s easy to recur. I like everyone else’s for maybe a two timer, or not necessarily recurring for a badge. I am definitely going to do some of the ideas listed above.
but I think I am going to go with video, since we can do it monthly, and I will need to figure out how to let you guys post videos in my blog.

And what are these things called anyway? They are so confusing memes, carivals, contests blah blah blah, they are all called something different and it is doing my head in when I want to belittle them…….. but not yours of course! Or Fabs. If I was actually aware of a boob contest of Fabs cause I would be so in that. As long as I saw his first.
