MiniBlog: Going away for a little while

February 13th, 2008 · 10 Comments

As you all know, I am suffering from a mixed-episode from my bipolar disorder. I did not realize how bad the symptoms were until my dad wrote my mother and indicated how quickly I was talking, and how my mind was racing much more quickly than the words coming out of my mouth. Interrupting people is the first sign of hypo-mania, but not listening altogether is my hint that is’ full blown mania.

Since I can’t hospitalize myself to neutralize the episode (due to lack of insurance and those hellholes they call hospitals), I am going to seek refuse at my father’s place in a town where people go to die. I will be there at least one week.

Since I now blog only Mon through Fri, I have three slots left open for guest bloggers. I would greatly appreciate your offering up if you are willing to guest blog for me. I need Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, please. Nothing fancy; just something out there.

Thanks again for understanding, and I will be online during my “recovery” period. I am just not functioning right in the head to write…

refuse = refuge (although it’s probably the same with me)

    *raises hand meekly*

I’ve never done one before…so maybe as a last resort?

Is it too early in our blog-relationship…(blogationship? heehee) for a guest blog? I’m not even sure we’re to the point of my having my own drawer yet, let alone a whole post…

Epiphany’s last blog post..Friday Freewrite # 1 (for me anyway)

    Yes. What she said.

Not sure how guest blogging is done anyway.

Where do people go to die anyway? Corsicana? Or maybe someplace in Florida or Arizona?

I’m happy to help you out, I understand needing some mental health time.

Hopefully a week off will do your mind some good. Let me know how it goes and maybe I’ll end up following suit. In reality, I have oft considered committing myself just to get a break from my overwhelming family. I love them dearly but after a decade of NEVER being away from them, Mama needs a break!

Piph: You don’t actually have to write anything about me. You can just do a regular blog. I think I have all five, but if someone flakes out on me, you’ll be the first to know!

Guest blogging is easy. I create a user id on my wordpress that you log into and create and post a blog entry just like you would on wordpress. I got lazy and gave everyone my admin pass though.

Thanks Kyra. I don’t have kids, so I really shouldn’t complain, but this mania is really killing me. The cycle only gets worse because I can’t sleep, and you and I both know how important sleep is.

Thanks Top. I keep asking Jester to talk to you about his schedule, but he hasn’t yet. Could you guys nail that down for me? Thanks!

Shit, not enough coffee in the day.

Slut: People go to Llano, TX to die. They actually had the oldest people population in the whole united states up until a couple of years back, but they are on the heels now as number two.

They come here to die, but they don’t die. So they go to their southern baptist churches, play with snakes, and exorcise demons instead.

    :-)

My dad is a liberal ex-district judge practicing law out here. You can imagine how well he fits in. But he’s respected because he finished high school.

Robin: Thank you sweetie. I will still be online. They finally got cable out here about two years ago!!

Insomnia sucks. A lot. Hope your time off helps, and that you can get some real, actual sleep soon. Sleep’s one of those things you don’t value enough until you aren’t getting it.

    Epiphany’s last blog post..Mmm, soup

Come on man. You know you want to say something!
