I have never heard of this. Having perused both Hillary and Obama’s websites, I have learned that I get to vote twice on election day.
1. I vote at the voting poll.
2. I got to my local caucus at the same place I voted, and I vote again.
Would someone please explain to me why I am voting twice? What is the difference? I would greatly appreciate it.

I have no idea why Texas is doing both. Washington hadf both, too but not on the same day and the primary didn’t count for anything.
Obama always does a lot better in caucuses winning in big ass numbers. A primary is just like a general vote… you go in at any time your polling place is open and cast your ballot and leave. A caucus is a lot of fun… like a party or a rally. You’ll go in to your polling place and then find your district and hang out over there for a bit. There will be papers where you can immediately register to vote and cast your vote at the same time… like a sign up sheet. Then, from each district, someone will be chosen to manage the papers.
Then it gets fun. People will then speak out for their candidate… sometimes this is done to the entire crowd and sometimes this is done at each section. Once someone has spoken for each candidate, people will have a chance to change their vote on the paper. It’s great for undecideds or even for people who just earned something new about the other candidate.
After each district has voted, the person in charge for the section will total the votes and then ask who will volunteer to go to the next stage of the election which is pretty much representing your district’s delagates at the state level. One or two people will volunteer and then they’ll be given a date. After that, you can pretty much leave.
Caucusing takes about an hour and is very energetic and festive. Primaries are just showing up and casting a ballot.
I have absolutely no clue why Texas is having them on the same day or why they are counting votes from both of them. But, go vote for both! Primaries are quick and painless and caucuses are fun!

Sorry guys. I haven’t been reading blogs for a couple of days. I needed a break, and was meditating practically the whole time for two days.
PP: your email is bouncing. Do you know why?
Slut: Right on, girl. Am going to go read the link today. Thanks for sharing!
Robin: After an unwanted and heated debate with Wayne yesterday, I also don’t get it (he doesn’t understand it either), but I had to listen to his rant about McCain and why I should have voted for McCain. **sigh**.
Fab: When we stopped having sex with our husbands for not letting us vote. We were sleeping with the slaves instead.
Kyra: I don’t know how fun the caucuses were here. All I know is that thousands lined up at each location, they were out the door for 1/4 of a mile, and when it got late, they had to sign the document with flashlights in the dark. Doesn’t sound like much fun to me.
Hilly: I am hoping Obama takes California. You guys haven’t voted yet, right? When is your primary? Hillary fucking took Texas. By like, two percent.
Slut: Apparently not. There was, however, long lines, electricity went out, and flashlights. It’s kinda like Disney World, but the rides suck.
Tug: Trust me. Not EVERYTHING is bigger in Texas.

I guess we should be glad Chicago is not in Texas, or you guys would have voted 4 or 5 times.
We maybe having caucuses later on. Seems that they flubbed the primary and have to do it over.
