I promise I am not dead

May 4th, 2008 · 12 Comments

Hi all.

I promise I have not fallen off the face of the earth.  Please don’t delete me from your feedreaders.  I am still sick, but am better.  I have decided to start ignoring my fever, and if it’s not better by the time I am done with antibiotics, then I will go back in.

Problem is, they haven’t found a damned thing wrong with me.  So I guess if the worst thing I have is a two degree fever, maybe I can learn to live with it.

So, once I feel a little better, I will start blogging again.  I am still reading yours and responding to as many as I can.

Thanks for your patience.

Take it easy. I don’t know if I’m typical but I don’t delete folks for years unless they really piss me off. ;)

Hope you feel better and they figure out how to make you healthy.

If it doesn’t get better go to a new doctor, I’ve watched Mystery Diagnosis and I know doctors are often clueless.

Very glad that you’re not dead!
Don’t overdo it just because you’re feeling a bit better ok? (Yeah I’m a bossy Brit - so what?!)
Thanks for stopping by earlier - sending a hug right back :o)

I was getting worried. All of TC went by and not a peep out of you. I was gonna call you today if you didn’t pop up. Like Penelope said, don’t overdo it. Maybe it’s all stress and exhaustion related. Luvs ya! MUAH!

I’m betting many of the TC goers don’t share your feelings :) I’m sure a lot of them are feeling mighty dead right about now… :)

I think I know what is causing all this crap.

The only variable we have not excluded is my implanon implant for birth control. I got it about four weeks before I got sick.

25% of the people had chronic headaches. Check.
    Influenza-type symptoms: check.
    nausea: check
Less than 5% reported fever, but I have it, but it is mild: check

I think a visit to my OBGYN is the best thing to do at this point to talk about the symptoms and see what she says.

oh, and my migraines have increased since I started this thing, even though it is only progesterone and shouldn’t cause migraines.

Okay, so I decided to start thinking outside the box. I think I may have allergies, or sinusitis that was exacerbated by whatever I had.

I worked outside yesterday, and I had major drainage last night, and my throat hurts. All, you can get low-grade fever from allergies, and you don’t have to have a stuffy nose and stuff. I have puffy eyes every day, and joint pain etc can come with allergies.

So, I am going to see an allergist on Thursday. It is highly possible that I did get sick, which then kinda caused some kick up of allergies.

I have never had an allergy in my entire life. But we have different grasses here, and grasses are really high right now. Mold has been high too, but I have never been allergic to mold. So I am thinking grasses; especially since I keep my windows open every day.

So, I am thinking outside the box.

QUICK! GET BACK IN THE BOX! QUICK!!!!!

We know you’re not allergic to anything in the box, so stay safe.

I didn’t get asthma until I was 30. With an auto immune disease like asthma, I fall prey to all kinds of crap. I often run a low grade fever over seemingly nothing. The PITA’s dad and I both tend to run low grade fevers when suffering from stress and exhaustion. I think there’s a number of things that could be checked out here…
