Okay, so after BPR’s post yesterday on pedicures, it has become quite apparent that we need some girly-girl education. I am pre-empting this week’s Freewrite Friday for this VERY important entry.
I know a lot of you out there may not have been educated in the girly-girl stuff of the world; maybe there wasn’t anyone there to teach you (like me; I had no one), or you just weren’t interested. All’s cool.
I have spent years and years teaching myself all about girly-girl stuff. No one taught me. Lots of exhausting research, painful experiences and thousands of hours up on hours building up those callouses of honor so I can wear 3.5″ heels.
There are a lot of men out there too that don’t want to know what goes into making a girl a girly-girl. I submit that this is a good place to learn, whether you like it or not. It might be nice for you to appreciate what we do to make it all happen; not just the daily, but the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual work. I am tired of men telling me, “I don’t care what you do, just don’t tell me.”
Since we have a lot of “non-girly-girls” out there who are still interested in certain things, I open up this forum to ask questions, and I will answer the questions tomorrow.

I am an expert in most areas of trying to be the girly-girl. And, we have a wealth of people out there to offer additional suggestions and expertise. So let’s get it out there; the good, the bad and the ugly. All those things you were too afraid to ask. All those things you ever wondered about. If I can’t answer it, hell, I’ll go ask Kyra. 
BTW, does anyone know where Kyra is? I am getting worried.

Ok wait. I do not kill people, I just send their families gotse pictures in the mail.
2. i want to learn about waxing - home and salon. and why I get that one really strong - like a wire bristle hair on my upper lip. its just the one, but every time i pull it out it comes back!
I tried heels twice - they are not for me. trust me.
and i need oodles of help with the skin. either I am So dry i am peeling skin off my face like i was sunburned or I am oily and covered in pimples. I would like a little in between that pls.
as for the mammogram, i’ve had four of them. trust me, go cafine free for 24 hours before hand - the difference , pain wise, is AfuckingMazing.
and pap smears are important because cervical cancer is very easy to deal with int he early stages and very deadly in the latter.
I have no daughters, but one of my sons sees his urologist every 12 months, is that OK?
Teach me oh learned one, I am ready to learn!

1. I want to learn about waxing, I would be ecstatic to learn how to wax my Hot Pocket.
B. Yeah boils…I know all about them unfortunately. Haven’t had one in a while I think with better eating habits.

I was wondering about Kyra, too. E-mailed her, and haven’t heard back…
I can’t wear heels because of a bad back & knees, but OMG I love them - there are some cute ones! (did I mention I am NOT a girlie girl?)
Last mamogram the BRUISED my chest ribs…used them as speed bumps - asshats. I go again this coming Friday. *sigh*

I love heels. I once owned a $450 pair of lizard skin slingbacks. Now I need a knee transplant so I just bought a pair of Blowfish flats today. They rock!
I used to do the pink/white acrylics. No more. I keep the nails fairly short and painted dark colors. OPI’s Russian Collection. I have more than half of it. I’m wearing Catherine the Grape at the moment. My kid’s wearing Affair in Red Square.
I do the purse thing now. Dooneys. I am sooo in love with my new giraffe purse it’s not even funny.
I wear flip flops all the time to show off my pedicure and my toes rings.
I own makeup brushes, altho my allergies have gotten worse with age so I don’t wear makeup anymore.
If I could afford it, I would have nothing but Jo Malone products in my house… that peach smelling stuff. It is so freaking divine smelling.
I didn’t use to… but now… I enjoy being a girl!
