Okay, guys. Fox news has a habit of reporting news of the dumb. So I picked up on these two feeds yesterday through my nifty headline widget for Google desktop. I also like Google Reader. I just pop in an RSS feed from any online magazine I want, CNN, my favorite blogs, etc. It’s a great way to see new posts.
Although one of these stories is sad in effect, you gotta think, “WTF kind of idiot do you have to BE?”
Number 1:
Oklahoma Police Kill 5-Year Old Boy While Shooting at Snake
Boy and grandpa go fishing. In the wilderness. Someone calls in a snake. In the wilderness. Police respond to snake sighting; not animal control. Policeman decides to SHOOT the snake with his handgun. SHOOT THE SNAKE. WITH A HANDGUN. He aims upward, and somehow shoots a five-year old that is probably about four feet tall. WHERE are these guys getting trained????
Number 2:
Drunk Woman Runs Over Instructor During Driving Lesson in Florida
Girl/woman goes for driving lesson. She drives in reverse instead of forward. She runs over her instructor. She CONTINUES to drive in reverse. I have nothing to say about this one….At least, not anything I can actually type here… WTF?

wrt the Snake Story, I think that’s just what they made up. I think maybe they were horsing around. I heard the story on AM Radio this morning and they said that when the officers showed up to the grandfather and the deceased boy, they didn’t mention anything about them doing the shooting. Maybe that’s a smart thing, and then again maybe it’s just them trying to get their stories straight.
