My Favorite Commerical On TV These Days

October 25th, 2007 · 10 Comments

As you all know, sometimes I like to post my favorite commercial at that moment in time. My favorite is still the yahoo commercial that was pulled where fluffy the dog comes back from the dead. But, of commercials that are airing, my favorite is the Fedex commercial that you have all probably seen.

I will actually stop what I am doing to watch this commercial every time it comes on, or if I have Tivo’d it, even though I have seen it a hundred times. It just tickles me in all the right places.

Advertisers have just become so creative lately, and they are indeed capturing my interest with some commercials. For the most part, I never know what they are selling, but their commercials are hilarious. So, here’s my favorite right now. Enjoy.

Really? I mean, it was kinda funny. But, really?

Avitable is stupid. And obviously has not worked with enough people to identify each of these characters with someone.

I, on the other hand, think it’s hysterical.

I LOVED the dog one… why did they pull it? It was brilliant!

That *was* good. It could probably even be enhanced with more references.

Manager: Kevin, you keep on blaming others for your failures.
Kevin: I would if *Sheila* hadn’t missed her deadline on the Hutch account.

Manager: Steve, continue with the vague technical references and buzzwords that no-one knows enough to refute.
Steve: Ack that. My p2p client already vpn’ed the web 2.0 over to your account, and my daemon pinged inetd in your perl, so the CRC checked out. ROFL!

Manager: Thomas, you need to stay on top of those old cult movie quotes
Thomas: (points and pauses) that’s a big twinkie

I enjoy that commercial as well.

Where are the wrong places to be tickled?

Avi: What’s your fucking problem dude? You never worked in corporate where EVERYONE is a moron except you???? :-)

Miss Britt: Thank GOD someone is as smart as me. I am so glad you get it.

Sue: They stopped playing it shortly after I saw it a few times. I am surmising that it was too “out there” for people. Frankly, I thought it was AWESOME!

Wayne: yet again, a good post. You are improving. Thank the gods.

Mr Fab: I like the way you think. For UNMARRIED men, there is no place that is a bad place to tickle. Just be aware that if you tickle me a lot, I might fart. I’m not sixteen anymore. I have found that as we get older, holding in farts while the body is not able to control other parts isn’t as reliable as it was when we were older. But at least my farts don’t stink. Unless I eat Taco Bell.

Nope. The only jobs I’ve had are ones where I was either the boss, or the guy under the boss, and I fired anyone who would have been like that.

Oh, so you are the fucking idiot that I have had for a manager at every job I have ever had. Until the one I am going to start on Monday.

    So so sad.

Nah, I wasn’t that type of manager. When I left my last job, half of the company quit so they wouldn’t have to deal directly with my boss.

I wish I had a manager that would wear a marilyn monroe dress and sing happy birthday to the computer.

Now that would be good blackmail material.

Come on man. You know you want to say something!
