FenCon will be held in Dallas September 21-23, 2007. Lots of cool stuff to do. FireflyDFW, the Dallas/Ft. Worth Browncoats will be there too. Very cool. Jarrod Davis will be there. He served as a digital artist on both Firefly and Serenity.
Be sure to purchase tickets in advance. Ticket prices are going up on September 1st.

Took me a while to figure out what the “FEN” part was but now I think I get it. I thought maybe I’d get clued in by some context with the Firefly mention, or the Browncoats, or Serenity or Jarrod Davis, but I’m pretty clueless still.
That’s cool that it’s near you. Austin doesn’t get any of the —CON’s or —DEX’s. We get —FEST here or locally , and of course SXSW. But you know all about Austin of course.
I read today that some comic artist died.
